On 6-July-1999 I joined Stelex Inc. in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. Overall, it was a pretty rocky relationship that never really got quite on track. I never really quite felt in the right place with the company. It could have been cultural as well as environment that never quite meshed.
Stelex is a small (~100 employees) company based in Bensalem, PA. I joined the System Development Services (SDS) division of the company. The SDS division helps companies develop, integrate, and manage their computer systems and databases. Stelex's services include:
My title at Stelex was that of Project Manager, Development Services. In this position I was responsible for leading teams of software developers in designing and coding for FDA regulated industries. I managed the execution of all aspects of multiple custom software development projects, budgets and schedules. Also included in my duties were the development and and execution of project plans and Computer Systems Development Life Cycle. I was also responsible for providing schedule, time, and resource input for project proposals.
There was an inter-personal aspect of the job. I was to ensure projects were completed on time and within budget. I was also to manage and maintain relationships between the project team as well as customers.
On 1-May-2000, Stelex and I parted ways...
